SCAM manufactured over a thousand plants for the production of distilled water from sea water, our Desalting Systems, both on-board and on-shore.
We designed our first desalting plant in 1930, and since then, SCAM has been equipping approximately 1,750 ships of all types and nationalities, counting among its Customers the most famous shipyards and the most important shipping Companies. SCAM designs and manufactures sea water evaporators suitable for any fresh water daily production rate that our Customers may require.
Since the first one, we never stopped to improve our product. The particular distribution of tubes bed that the system has today, allows the steam condensers to be supplied uniformly on the entire exchange surface by guaranteeing the maximum condensation before it reaches the incondensable substances extraction air box.
